my inspiration

People think that to make a difference in the world, they have to do something in Oprah-like proportions, like buy them a house or pay their bills. This got me thinking. What if you couldn’t do something that big? Could I make a difference by smiling at strangers, holding open doors, and picking up the tab for the person behind me?

This blog is my experiment in doing random acts of kindness for others. Maybe it’s not so random after all, but the point is that I am going to try to be a little less selfish and a little more giving. I can’t say that I know exactly how it will work or even if I will be successful, but I’m interested to find out.

If you feel so inspired to join me in my “doing,” or have any ideas of what more I can do, please leave a comment. I would love to hear from you!

Facebook led me here, and I am totally unsurprised at what I have found. You are adorable, generous, and selfless, Danielle, and this is a beautiful blog.

  2. I’m in your class–I’m the guy who was in DoRAK. I like your blog a lot so I shared it in DoRAK’s Facebook group page and they love it! This is really awesome!
